Club America settled for a 0-0 draw against crosstown rival Cruz Azul in the first leg of their CONCACAF Champions Cup quarterfinal series.

The frustrations were evident as a total of 34 fouls were committed by both teams. On top of the large quantity of fouls, neither teams were able to finish their chances in front of goal as it was a night to forget for both teams.
