Firefighters are working to extinguish a 2-alarm blaze at an uptown Charlotte high-rise, Saturday afternoon. The fire broke out in a building on S. Church St. around 2:20 p.m. in the 500 block. WCNC Charlotte's crew on the scene saw a large crowd gathering outside the building as Charlotte fire crews continued to control the smoke.
