"Instead of enjoying the first snowfall, we are mourning our classmates and friends," wrote another student on a TikTok video of a happy snow day at Brown from a previous year. "The Brown we knew, one of safety and security, was stolen from us," added the student in the caption.

Students Ella Cook and Mukhammad Aziz Umurzokov identified as victims killed in Brown University shooting that wounded nine others over the weekend.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the individual.

Mukhammad Aziz Umurzokov's sister, who called him "the smartest," recounts finding out about his death, and Ella Cook is remembered as "an incredible light" who could "lift up those around her."

The Sydney and Brown University attacks have one other thing in common: Both quickly become dragged into the politics of a bitter, divided time, as partisans saw each through the prism of their own ideology and bitter disputes.
