Blizzard warnings have been issued south and east of Denver, treacherous travel is expected overnight Monday into Tuesday afternoon for portions of the Plains.

Colorado’s weather whiplash will bring potential blizzard conditions to the plains, heavy snow in the mountains, Palmer Divide with wet, slushy snow in the Denver metro area over the next 24 hours.

A blizzard is set to hit eastern Colorado on Monday night into Tuesday morning, prompting warnings of difficult to impossible travel conditions on major highways. The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard warning for the region,

Blizzard Warnings have been issued for portions of Douglas, El Paso, Arapahoe, Adams, Elbert, Lincoln, Washington, Sedgwick, Phillips, Yuma, and Kit Carson counties. Snow totals will range anywhere from 2 to 10 inches.
